BEGIN STATEMENT
_________________________________________________
Ladies and Gentlemen,
My name is ___________ and I [am here today
/ wish] to deliver a message on
behalf of the Individual Domain Name Owners (IDNO) organization.
The
membership of the IDNO wishes to express its deep interest
in the recent
developments toward the representation of individual domain
name
registrants.
Our membership wishes to go on record as
a body of individuals who are
interested in organizing - indeed have organized - a global,
grass-roots
representative movement *specifically* for domain name registrants.
Further,
that the membership of this organization reflects a broad
spectrum of
individual domain name registrants from around the world,
all with a bona
fide interest in the stability and development of the Internet
as a whole.
These individuals, many with a long association
in the ICANN and its fora,
wish to work alongside and closely with the ICANN in the
establishment of a
legitimate, globally representative voice for individual
domain name
registrants.
For three years the IDNO has been in the
process of defining and
establishing a voice for individual domain name registrants
worldwide. We
invite any interested persons to join our discussion list
to find out more
about the activities and plans of the IDNO.
[Please] sign up for the mailing lists and join as a member
via our website
at www.idno.org
