"I
(also) do not want anyone to believe that I accept constituencies except
as a lesser among a collection of very evil evils.
I also do not want to let anyone believe that I accept the "interim"
board's move into substantive matters to be anything less than a violation
of its charter as an interim body.
The
trouble is that there is no way to effectively say "no" to constituencies
-- the current system has been rigged so that silence is consent to
lets others usurp my voice.
I
absolutely reject the notion that ICANN can create a working DNSO in
Berlin on the terms which it has incorporated into its bylaws without
the approval of a working general membership or a board selected by
that membership.
All
of that said, I will not stupidly go down with the ship by rejecting
the lifeboat of a constituency for what are the *only* legitimate voices
and votes in the internet debate, the voices and votes of living breathing
human beings.
So
I endorse a constituency of individuals. And at the same time I utterly
reject the legitimacy of constituencies formed on any other basis.
